John the Baptist was killed for telling the King he was sinning. The world loves God's grace. They hate his rules. If you want to get kicked out of a church, preach the equality of women. The commandment were not written on two tablets to indicate "His" and "Hers." Tell business owners they are sinning by not being generous with their workers and otherwise mistreating them. Talk about Deborah being a highlight of the rulers of Israel (appropriate as an election approaches and sexists are scared a woman might be president). Tell the pastor that there are no LGBTQ+ people in the audience and maybe he should focus on the sins of the people in attendance. If you want to be yelled at by "Christians" talk about Matthew 25, Isaiah 58, Job 31. Prophets were routinely killed for preaching God's law. Jesus wasn't killed for telling people to love one another. Although his sermon on the mount is now called "woke" by many churches and members. He was killed for claiming to be the Messiah but not behaving like the religious leaders wanted him to behave. He subverted their authority and refused to give control of Israel back to the Jews.

All things are delivered to me of my Father Jesus said "All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him” (Matthew 11:27). God delivers all things to Jesus-his power, his spirit, his words-whether they be about Jesus himself or God himself. Everything Jesus does is for God and His will only. God’s word says that no one has ever heard God or seen God, yet most of the world goes against this and claims that Jesus is God? There are too many ‘Christians’ who have been brainwashed by the masses into believing this lie; this is why many will cry ‘Lord, Lord’ and not make it into the kingdom-because they do not know both the Father and the Son. Only those who read and do the will of God can enter the kingdom of God.

Very good sermon. Some people are so fearful of the law. There are two laws: love God, love your neighbor. And there are over 600 examples of how to do that in the OT Law plus hundreds more in the rest of the Bible. Growing up all I heard about the OT law was about "shellfish." Then I read it and realized they meant they were "selfish." The curse of the law is in Deuteronomy 29. It's pretty wild. That is the curse that was nailed to the cross so we can focus on loving our neighbor to the best of our ability and not worry about falling short. When we serve the poor, the poor become Christ to us. That is what Jesus means when he says "whatever you do to the least of these, you do to me."

Jesus will point us to God’s glory forever: In JOhn 10:38, Jesus said “though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that *_the Father is in me, and I in him.”_* It is the Lord God that possesses Jesus. In Proverbs 8:22-36, it is Jesus who speaks of how he was “brought forth,” which comes from the word _poeisis_ in Greek meaning “to bring forth into existence.” In John 10:32, Jesus said, “many good works have I shewed you *_from my Father.”_* In John 16:25-27 Jesus said, he will *show us plainly of the Father* to those who believe he came out from God [God’s foreknowledge]. In John 14:10, only God’s power and spirit within Jesus does all things. In Matthew 12:28, Jesus said he cast out demons by God’s spirit, not of his own spirit. In John 7:16-18, Jesus professes that none of his teachings are of himself. In John 8:28, Jesus states that he only does what the Father has taught him. Jesus is the way, truth, and life that leads to the one true God, his Father and OUR Father. Amen.

I was struck by the comment about Abel’s favorable animal sacrifice and Cain’s “tossed salad.” Throughout the Bible, we are told to honor God with our “first fruits.” (Prov 3:9-10) That God knows our heart (Luke 16:15) and is please when we follow him. I think the sacrifice was less about what was offered (Hosea 6:6) and more about the condition of each man’s heart (Prov 4:23). Certainly evident by how it played out in Cain’s actions against his brother...
